The City of Fresno, located in the San Joaquin Valley, is in the southern portion of the Central Valley. It sits approximately 222 miles north of Los Angeles, 170 miles south of Sacramento. Known for its abundant agriculture, Fresno is a haven for quality produce and is known for its hip and metropolitan Fulton District. The newly revitalized Fulton Mall is a happening place to visit with its trendy shops and restaurants.
The first Thursday of every month features the highly popular Art Hop. Start your adventure off at Tioga-Sequoia Brewery to grab a tasty craft beer while grooving to live music from local bands. Then enjoy a walk down Fulton Street where galleries and street vendors line the sidewalks offering everything from jewelry and clothing to artwork, clever crafts and more.
Check out Fresno's famous Roots General Store that carries vintage pieces and hip Fresno merchandise. Outside, you'll notice a bright blue taco truck called Taste Kitchen, serving up meat, fish, and vegan tacos that are to die for. Walk a few more blocks and stop at the Cultural Arts District and Park filled with more food trucks and a family-friendly place for the kids to run around and play.
